About the Journal of Oncology Practice

The Journal of Oncology Practice is part of ASCO’s family of journals, and focuses on the delivery of quality cancer care. Published monthly, JOP provides care delivery research and clinical reviews to enhance practice efficiency and promote a high standard of care for all patients with cancer. The Journal of Oncology Practice is ASCO’s journal for the busy practicing cancer specialist from all specialties, whether you’re academic, community based or hospital based. It’s also for your administrators for policy makers and for payers so it can bring together the delivery of this
great science along with practical policy and implementation information. The mission of Journal of Oncology Practice is to be one of ASCO’s core journals, ASCO being the oncology specialty society for America and
globally to bring the best of science to those who practice oncology in all
specialties. If you’re involved in the delivery of cancer care, JOP is a
must-read publication, where the synthesis of science and clinical care
are brought to you in an effective way, and can be applied directly to your
practice. Journal of Oncology Practice is unique because it’s part of a family of
journals from ASCO that’s the world’s leading Society for oncology specialists
and the science that drive it. I am really honored and excited to be the
Editor in Chief of Journal of Oncology Practice. I’ve had years of editing
experience, but to get to work with the associate editors and the many ASCO
professionals who agree to review articles will help us bring the best
information to the bedside. Publishing in the JOP allows you to share your
research and have an impact on practices and patients around the world. Researchers should publish in our Journal of Oncology Practice because
it’s widely read by those who are practicing medicine as well as those who are making the policies that will change how we
practice medicine in the future, how it gets paid, for how it’s organized, how it’s
delivered. So publishing in our Journal will have a practical impact from
bringing the research to the bedside. It means bringing the latest science, the
best in care delivery information, so that we can actually deliver the care
that is the best to those who are facing cancer. And after all, that’s why all of
us show up every day to do our work. JOP wants to hear your feedback and
suggestions. It’s really important if we’re gonna make this Journal the best
for all of us that you send me your ideas. Feel free to drop me an email and
let me know any ideas or what we’re doing right, or how we might make the
material more effective for you and for your staff. To submit your ideas and suggestions, you can email [email protected] And to learn more
