Amazing Beer Production

Hey guys, thanks for joining me. This is
Chogyal from Phuntsholing, Bhutan. Right now I’m here at Pasakha beer factory & today the
weather seems very clear and really awesome. Let’s find out what’s there inside. Okay
guys, let’s see how the beer is made. Beer is made from water & cereal grains specially the barely is considered as the superior grain for brewing. The production of beer is called brewing, which involves the fermentation of starches, mainly derived from cereal grains— most commonly malted barley, although wheat, maize (corn), and rice are widely used. The production of beer is called brewing,
which involves the fermentation of starches, mainly derived from cereal grains—most commonly malted barley, although wheat, maize (corn), and rice are widely used. Malting barley consists of soaking the grain into warm water; just enough to activate the enzymes that will convert the starch to sugar. Then the roasting of barely grain takes place which determines the color and the flavor of the beer. Most beer is flavored with hops, which add bitterness and act as a natural preservative, though other flavorings such as herbs or fruit may occasionally be included. The fermentation process causes a natural carbonation effect, although this is often removed during processing, and replaced with forced carbonation. It takes 7 to 10 days for maturation. Then the beverage is filtered and tested which is finally finished as a clear product. Okay guys, here we can see some of the laborers are passing these old dirty beer bottles. These beer bottles must be very clean enough to store the Beer. Here we can see the beer bottles are
getting washed and sterilized. So once the beer bottles are clean enough they are passing towards other side to store the beer. These empty bottles are all washed & sterilized. The empty bottles reach here and they are
ready to be filled. Then they pass to the capper before being sent to the pasteurizer for pasteurization. Like beer, Bhutanese people drink bangchang (home made beverage) from so long before. Beer is the world’s most widely consumed and probably the oldest alcoholic beverage; It is the third most popular drink overall, after water and tea. Here we can see the levels are glued
onto the bottles and they are sending towards other sides to pack in the cartons. These days, our Bhutanese people are drinking eleven thousand everywhere. It’s quite okay that the market of Bhutan
is dominated by the 11,000 beer. So in my case I also used to drink a
lot of beer before thinking that the beer can really clear the stomach. But
I think if you guys can really refrain from taking beer or any sort of
alcohol, I think our life will be much more better but anyhow the choice is
yours, okay. Levels are glued onto the bottles and
packed in the cartons. Now they are ready to supply to the beer dealers. Beer is sold in bottles & cans. It may also be available on draught specially in foreign countries. Ara ( locally made wine) forms the part of the culture of our nation and is associated with social tradition such as during picnic and special occasions. However these days, the beer has been widely consumed by the Bhutanese people. There are some of the disadvantages of consuming beer. if you drink beer everyday in long run you’re deteriorating your health because you’ll have a lot of side effects. If you
stop drinking beer or any kind of alcohol, I think you would lead a very clean and healthy life. So last, but not least, I’ll give you guys a simple advice . As far as possible, try to shift your concentration from drinking beer to drinking water so that it would really help you to lead a very healthy life. I
think it is indeed you’ll lead a very good life and healthy life. And make sure yourself to take a lot of good and clean food so that in your life you become a
very good person. Besides this, you enjoy your health. Once you
health, you enjoy your wealth and enjoy with your family then finally you enjoy your long life
