hello this is Jamil recently we’ve had
some noisy neighbors next door that have been playing loud music through the
walls I want to show off my device to you that I’ve come up with to get them
back in a nutshell what it does is it listens for the loud music through the
walls and when it detects it it’ll start playing a CD player to blast annoying
music back at them and so I’ll show you the different parts of my system right
now firstly I have these big speakers that I just bought at a thrift store I
have this microphone here that will end up being taped to the walls the
microphone gets fed in to the simple preamp circuit I put together and then
it gets fed into my Arduino controller I have some LED bars here and you can
actually see as I’m talking into the microphone now that’s showing me the
level if it goes up to the red then this orange light comes on it goes into
warning mode and if it keeps hearing noise from next door for 10 seconds
that’s when it starts playing to music and the reason I set that up is to avoid
any false positives where maybe the neighbor just bumped the wall and I
don’t want to start blasting music right away at them just for this test I set
the music up to play for only 15 seconds at a time if I’m actually using it on
the neighbors I’d probably lengthen that to 30 seconds or a minute and I can just
set it up when I go to work or leave for the day it’ll blast music back at them
for as long as they’re loud even if I’m not here all right so now I’m gonna show
you this device in action so I’ll just load my annoying music into the CD
player get that ready and I’m gonna simulate the music coming
through from the neighbors boom boom boom annoying neighbors boom boom boom
boom boom bass bass bass {Who let the dogs out} and as soon as it’s done playing the
music it pauses it and goes back to monitoring the volume it’ll keep playing
it continuously as long as they keep making the loud noise and so for the
real thing I’d probably extend the period of time that it plays the music
to maybe 30 seconds or a minute and I’ll turn the speakers around to to focus the
sound back at the neighbors all right so our neighbors are playing
their loud music again as you can probably hear so I’ve got the system all
set up here with the Arduino not powered up I’ve adjusted the threshold pretty
low so I’ll power it up and we’ll see if it works {Who let the dogs out} it sounds like they’re still playing it
so our music should come back on Oh I’m just gonna stop it now okay stopping
it now but yeah it works so that’s cool so uh I can just set it up next time I
leave for the day and let it blast music At them for as long as they play they’re so

  1. This dude is kinda bogus. His neighbor is probably somewhat considerate and plays his music when the dude is at work or something to avoid annoying him but idk that's my guess…. When I listen to music I don't intentionally do it to piss off my neighbors, but rather to quench my thirst for music. To some music is fuel to drive them through life…. Not trying to troll but rather give some individuals a different perspective. 🙂

  2. My neighbour lit a bonfire in his garden every evening and the smoke drifted into my house. I got revenge by waiting until he lit the fire one evening and then I poured gasoline all over my garden, my shed and my fence and set it on fire. That taught him!

  3. I had a neighbor like that many many years ago. I simply went over and asked them if they could lower the music, as our infant Son was sleeping in his crib that was right next to the bedroom that their teen slept in (We were in a Row Home). They wouldn't listen to me, told me to F off, etc. I called the police, and after the cops left, on it went again, even louder than before this went on and off for weeks. Being an electrician, I could think of one way to get them to stop. So I just went outside, donned some gloves, and pulled their electric meter, put some plastic "boots" over the line and load sides , and plugged it back in. After spending $$$ for an electrician to figure out what happened to their power, my answer was, you could of called me, I would have removed them for free.
Did they blast the music ever again?

  4. The problem with this method is it is obvious, and likely to provoke a reaction. Here is the better option. Record yourself banging a pan 30 seconds to a minute of 60-80 bps should do it. Nice regular beat, loud as fek. Have that set to come on when Loud music is heard… and to go off as soon as they turn down their system, which they will to try and figure what is going on. Unlike your loud music, which will really do nothing but create a wall of sound, your Pan Banging will really be irksome their side of the wall and spoil their happy day. ALSO, if your neighbours are under 25 or so, you could get your stereo to play (LOUDLY) a (very) high frequency Audio File, from 14,400 (20-25 yro) – 17,400 hertz (Teens) which older ears will not hear, but theirs will. A program such as "Gold Wave" will let you run the equation required to generate the file. Again have it so that it turns off when they turn down to figure out what is going on.

  5. tip: if you keep calling the cops eventually there will be a citation issued, and when they have to pay that you’ll see how fast there’s no more music…if they don’t pay it well… that’s how warrants are born and the next time they get pulled over the juice starts

  6. you look like a fat child porn watching harry potter… You should stick that wand into your kneck…and gurgle out…. That way the hard-working people don't have to pay your incarceration fee when you get locked up… You are the creepy guy all parents including myself that tell our kids to stay away from…..

  7. instead of your big speakers…..i would take the woofer out of the speaker, turn it round and mount straight onto the wall, maybe even drill a 2-3" hole in the wall to help the speaker vent……..low freqencys penetrate much better than high, this way you have the bass physically pounding the wall……then instead of playing your annoying cd….i would play back his own music by continuously recording and delaying it just a tiny bit and then play back….with some luck he would hear an annoying bass echo that is out of synch with his music……..your outside counterattack would benefit from some bollywood garbage music 😉

  8. also fun to change the low power led in a universal remote to a nice powerful 3w (you know how to mess with an arduino so this should be a breeze) shine your high power remote into a window of neighbor (heck even a wall) and make the arduino push pause / stop / play code for all known devices ir codes…just keep spamming those codes ……..

  9. Before you ever complain to a neighbor FTF, always ask yourselves what is both the best and worst thing that can come of doing so?
Also, ask yourself, am I limiting my FUTURE options by doing so?
Remember: If you complain to a neighbor and he refuses, then if you secretly escalate things in the future, he's going to know exactly WHO to come after.

  10. I have a better idea. Maybe, you could invert the signal and play it as loud as possible. This is basically noise canceling — might be worth a try. You can try this using Audacity. First load any mp3, then copy the track over; and apply "Invert" on any one of the two tracks. Next, play them both — BOOM! Silence. To be sure, play either track in solo mode, and you will hear music, play them together, silence.

If it works, at the very least it will dampen the sound regardless of how loud your neighbor's volume is.

  11. passive agressive dosnt work…you go over there like a man and dont ask them to turn it down…you tell them to turn it down nicely. If they dont…then go get an air horn to blow in their face when they open the door at 3am.

  12. Tooo pussy to just go over and tell them to turn it down. Its not a prank its you being as moist as a whores herp poped pussy. Yeah let me blast music while they blast theirs and dnt even hear mine

  13. The best thing to do when someone play load and make the day shit.
Wait untill it gets quiet (when they need rest) and then play load as they did untill they have to get back up 🙂

  14. Had the same problems with upstair neighbors, removed a can light and wired up transducer to the ceiling which makes thier floor a speaker , connected it to a signal generator. Basically turned thier floor into a constant ear ringing.

  15. They didn't quit playing music so what was the point? PORN is better to freak neighbors out. Especially if a girl is there.

  16. Uhm…not to sound like a scientist but seems that this device is built to annoy only you as the neighbors can't hear it over their music

  17. Many years ago my neighbors had this annoying party that lasted until 3:00 a.m. while playing Bachata (Dominican music). I got up at 7:00 a.m. and played Mozart’s La Nozze di Figaro at a very loud volume with speakers pointed out the window towards their house, then cut my already mowed lawn.

  18. had some neighbors that were watching a game, and they had like 20 people in there.. everyone would start screaming and pounding when big plays were made. I turned on my TV and tuned into the game and noticed their set had an 8 second delay. dont know why. So I would watch the game and when someone scored I would yell out of my window "they scored" and ruin the magic for them.

  19. The noisy neighbors can't hear your music.
So in effect, you've just doubled the annoyance factor for your other neighbors.

  20. Fricking brilliant guy. Your pretty smart. You should be in a carreer you dont live where you have neighbors. More property and lawn fountains are the only noisey neighbors you should have bro.

  21. You need a hack for that wand. Its running on a retired system of debauchery that uses Vanessa Carlton as a source of ammo… Thats just cruel man. Otherwise that some funny

  22. Ummm…you need to do it when they DONT play music. How are they going to hear yours if theyre music is so loud??

  23. We had annoying neighbors who played loud music late at night. Playing it back late at night didn’t work but playing it at 6am when they had been up all night and trying to sleep did. We found Drowning Pool bodies worried well as did Soil Halo .
