Hi, I’m Jen Murnaghan, and I am the owner
of Dish Pig Studio. What we’re really trying to do with Dish
Pig is to resurrect the souvenir. So, I want to look at the souvenir but you
know, in a more design- led manner . The biggest change for Dish Pig has been its
online presence, and really trying to champion that area, um, as best we can.
We really try through blogging, sharing other Tasmanian design that we find interesting
with the rest of the world, so that we can allow
Tasmania to shine. Working with the blog is probably one of my
favourite parts of the business. For all of those, um, who follow Dish Pig,
but are not necessarily living in Tasmania, it is the
shop window. It’s a lovely support; it’s a lovely,
um, addition, um, that creates the brand for Dish Pig.
What I do is, I, every three months I plug in markets that I’m doing um, what I’m,
what I’m, designing, um.
And then, when um I’ve got those um, kind of, ground marks and anchors there, mixed
in with that there are some organic posts that emerge.
I like to be spontaneous as well. I like quality over quantity. I really believe
in that deeper connection, um, and that fulfils me a
lot more than numbers. If you can share your passion, that is so
key to engaging people with your business
