Getting up-to-date at Cambridge Forums

>>Cambridge Forums
organizes invitational and gatherings of professionals
at a very high level.>>For us, technology plays a role in terms of
delivering an experience.>>The CRM system is
really important to us. We’re able to email a bunch
of our customers at once but still be able to include
detailed information about them, so we can maintain
that high touch feel. Our clients are extremely
busy and they want us to know things about them so that we can provide the best service.>>Our migration was away from the existing platform and
directly to Microsoft on Azure. As far as the programs
that we use, Skype, Dynamics,
Teams, SharePoint. We’re looking at
ways to be able to use these programs
as a central hub.>>Office 365 in general
is great in that, you don’t have to be on your work laptop to
be able to access it, and if you want to access, you can access from anywhere with a browser.>>Our work from
home arrangements are in some cases much more robust than they have
been in the past, simply because now we can. We have several employees who are primarily remote workers. I can use Skype for Business. We do use that in
our boardroom now. It allows us to
connect with them on a regular basis that is
not just a phone call. So, the deployment
for us was a number of weeks of consultation
with 360 Visibility, planning out the project, getting all the data in place. I don’t think it would
have gone as smoothly, had we not had their help.>>We have project
management software called Smartsheet and that works directly with
Sharepoint as file storage.>>To address the cost
savings, dramatic. It cut our technology costs somewhere between
40 and 50 percent. We want to be really good car
drivers, not car mechanics. So, we wanted a platform that
didn’t require us to have servers on site and have
software architects on site. So, that’s what a modern office
to me is all about. It’s focusing on
your business and using technology to
be more effective.>>I think the mindset around technology has gone from: “It’s almost an impediment” to “Hey let’s see what
else we can do now.” It’s almost like
we’ve been liberated.
