How To Start A Blog That Makes Money


Welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I’m going to teach you how you can make money with a blog online. And I’m gonna give you some real tactics that you can apply even this week and begin to create yourself some income. So if you’re new to my channel consider subscribing. Now what this is is that when people are searching for topics and they’re searching for things online they have different intentions. So I could be looking up for example how to garden or maybe I already have a garden and I want to look up garden supplies or maybe I already have garden supplies maybe I already have a garden. Maybe I am trying to look for garden accessories or upgrade or look for different types of soil. So you really need to understand why the people that you’re trying to reach are searching for the content that you’re about to build. This is really important because you will then understand at a greater level really what you should make your blog to be or about what answers you should be answering. One tool I love to use is called answer the public dot com and it’s a free tool you can go and see what questions people are asking about are related to a specific term. So for example I do Amazon FBA so if I go in there put Amazon FBA you see all the questions that people have about Amazon FBA. So that’s pretty helpful. The other thing that you want to do is after you really have a list of intentions and you’ve decided which one of these things you’re going to answer you want to go into Google AdWords and you want to begin to look up keywords. Now don’t pay attention to the competition or any of that type of thing what you want to do is just get an idea of the different terms that are out there and kind of figure out how you can match those with the intention and really come up with a couple ideas that will then get really high traffic because it’s maybe a lot of traffic and low competition and it’s really going to meet a specific need. Now here’s something that’s really important to understand about SEO. It’s not just about finding a term that let’s say is highly searched in low competition. If you are meeting a very specific need and answering a very specific topic sometimes it is ok to be very specific where you might not get a ton of traffic but that traffic you get is very interested in that particular solution that you are providing. And therefore that traffic is going to mean a lot more for you. So just keep that in mind if you find a search term and it doesn’t have a ton of traffic that might be OK because at the end of the day you have to ask yourself what your intention is in creating that blog piece that you’re going to do the next thing you’re going to do is you’re going to create your blog. But before you go and write it you want to really decide what you want to sell people what is it that you want them to buy. So you’re creating this blog you want something that’s going to answer a problem that those people are having. So once you come up with that idea of something that is something that you’re going to sell that’s you know it could be a physical product. Even then what you want to do at the bottom of your blog post you want to create either some sort of graphic that shows your product for sale or another option would be to put down there something that connects you know a piece of that product a piece of whatever you created or something of interest that they can download that’s related to the content to get more information. And you can put that opt in at the bottom of your blog post. Now the reason why you do this is not because this is the massive way that you’re going to get conversions because most people that read through a blog and then they see an opt in at the bottom unless they are already a devoted person in your community generally they’re not going to opt in. But the reason why you do this is to create awareness of your product awareness of your services and that is really really important because if you first set up your Facebook pixel and you put a conversion pixel on your blog post and on that page then what happens is that everybody that visits that page is then stored in your Facebook pixel and you can later go and promote online to them hey remember this product that you saw on this blog post you might want to buy it or remember this download that you saw in this blog post you might want to may want to buy it and then the last thing is you’re going to actually pay to promote it on Facebook and then that is actually going to give you some favor from Google because whenever you create something brand new and you promote it and you tell people about it it will actually promote you a little bit and you get more traffic to your site. The other thing is that you if you already have a blog you can go into your information and your stats and you can find the top posts that you have created and create an update that post and update the content refresh it and then send it out again. So I went through this process myself today and I checked out my most popular blog and it was the Amazon FBA private label step by step. I went ahead and I free fresh out that blog. And this is what it looks like before. And then I updated it. Now the only thing I didn’t do on my update is I haven’t updated the image because I was having some issues with WordPress and it would allow me to update updated but generally you want to update the image as well. Then what this does is Google actually will reward you for any content that you refresh that you make brand new. So it will begin to promote it again. So when you do the new blog you just want to state that it’s an update you add more content you refresh it and then you send it out again. You can send it out to your email list which I did. If you’re on my email list you got an e-mail for me today and then you want to pay to promote it on Facebook. And so I set up an ad and I’m promoting that on Facebook so that people will begin to read that and it will begin to tell Google that not only did I refresh this content but now all these people are reading it and it will reward me even more with even more traffic. The last thing that I want to talk about is that as you do this and let’s say for example in my post that I did today I announced that I’m going to hold my next webinar for my Amazon private label program. And what I did was I put an opt in at the bottom of the page for people to enter their name if they want to get an invitation as soon as I have that webinar setup and they can register to search for it and all of that. I did that because I wanted people to be aware that I have an amazon FBA private label program and I’m doing this webinar. So that gives them some awareness. And so after this campaign is done and I’ve promoted this blog then what I’m gonna do is I’ll begin to promote my webinar and I’ll create a new ad former webinar and I will target those people. So you see how it really continues to work especially when you are taking time to set up your Facebook pixel and setting up things so that you can retarget people and your really strategic about it. Remember whenever you are creating content for your Web site it’s all about the journey that you’re setting people on. You always want it to lead them to do something whether it’s a free download or whether it is attending a webinar or it’s purchasing a product. We always want to bring them on a journey. So if you follow this process and you begin to create blog posts that are strategic and you pay to promote them on Facebook and you always have some sort of opt in that will lead people into what you want them to purchase you’ll begin to make money doing a blog. Now you can also promote it through Pinterest and all these other different social media outlets. But just remember that it’s important that you are very strategic in your content and that you create stuff that people are going to want to consume. So make sure you use Google AdWords and do your keyword search. And that your blog post is about something that people really want to read about.
