let us take a moment, one moment for the seven decades spent promoting health serving the vulnerable, keeping the world
safe time spent protecting with new vaccines, groundbreaking treaties and
global standards, billions living longer healthier lives. Working with local and
global partners like you the impact of 70 years of our work is staggering. But
time does not stand still and facing continuous challenges neither can we.
Together we must take urgent steps to ensure a brighter future, to achieve the
sustainable development goals and reach our triple billion targets. 1 billion
more people with universal health coverage. 1 billion more people better
protected from health emergencies. 1 billion more people enjoying better
health and well-being the road we face is steep and it cannot be traveled alone
we are building a future redefined by new partnerships and collaboration
working better faster and more efficiently to change the face of global
health within five years we could save 30 million lives ensure that people live
longer and healthier lives and stimulate up to four percent of economic growth in
low and middle income countries if we invest in health we can reduce poverty
create jobs foster gender equality and promote
development there is no commodity in the world more precious than health and we
need your continued to support to safeguard it we have come so far in 70
years let us create a healthier future together
