Karate – Ten-no-kata, le Kata de l’univers [Karate-Blog.net]

Hello and welcome to karate-blog.net, clear and net karate. So I am Bruno BANDELIER and today we will see a very old Kata. Finally, very old… in fact, it is an old Kata, but it was created by Master Funakoshi, there is not so long. In fact, it was I think in 1940, but almost forgotten, almost no practice because it is not so spectacular. It’s really a homecoming. So I’m going to use Roland’s book HABERSETZER “Karate Kata: 30 Katas Shotokan” I put an article on this book. I will use it a little bit to tell you … Here, inside, there are really traditional Katas. So the Ten-No-Kata, there are two versions. There is the Omote Ura version and release. The Omote version you do it without opponent. So, you see an opponent, like all other Katas we know. And the Ura version where there, you are working with an opponent, much like Kihon Ippon Kumite. So we, we will see the release since Omote has no partner. Now you after you can see the second version. In the video, I’ll put you both versions. So the Omote version such, it is divided in two: there is the version where you are the role of Tori and then we play the role of Uke. Okay. Therefore, the techniques are very simple. So when we made the Tori version, there are attacks: an attack on the right, an attack on the left. And when we made the Uke version that is blocking against. Blocking against, once right, once to the left. Very simple. So the Kata, I tell you, is divided into two phases: Phase Tori. There you have four techniques. Finally, four techniques, but once right and once to the left. So that makes eight in all. The first technique we will do once right, once to the left is: Oi Zuki Chudan. Then Jodan Oi Zuki. Then Gyaku Zuki Zuki Gyaku Chudan and Jodan. You see, really simple thing; really basic learning. And, as I always say – I told you in the video “Choku Zuki” basically, there is the bulk of our work in these basic punches. Then, in the Uke version Finally, in the part of the Uke Omote release. So there you have six sequences, once right, once to the left. We Gedan Barai, Chudan Gyaku Zuki. So right left: Chudan Uchi Uke, Chudan Gyaku Zuki; Chudan Shuto Uke, Chudan Tate Nukite; Jodan Shuto Barai: Jodan Shuto Barai: therefore face level, monitoring Chudan … forgiveness, Jodan Gyaku Zuki. Fifth Age Uke monitoring … so Jodan Age Uke followed Chudan Gyaku Zuki. And sixth, Jodan Uchi Komi monitoring Chudan Gyaku Zuki. So relatively simple, relatively simple techniques, not very complicated to remember. Then it is not so … well, once you learn them, you’ll see, you’ll go fast enough to learn. Following is how to achieve it. You really have to be as fast as possible, most completely detached from his body and reach not to feel emotions and all that ; and get to do the Kata outside every time we are in Yoi. It is really relaxed, and you do not see when we start. So I explain. So I ask my balance. I explain to you : Kata, whenever it is in Yoi position. Initially, I’m leaving it Migi Chudan Oi Zuki. Migi: Right, Hidari: left. Migi Chudan Oi Zuki, therefore, I am leaving the Yoi position each time. Migi, sorry, I’m Gyaku Zuki. So Migi Chudan Oi Zuki; Hidari Chudan Oi Zuki. And each time – so after it is Jodan, I have to do directly. I is not going through a phase … in Kihon, one is zenkutsu initially; there, we really Yoi and it’s directly. Directly, I’m leaving. When we made the Uke phase principle. It’s one, two, everything is done directly. I’m leaving as if I was really Yoi, I attack. Well, simple. So I’ll try to do it. I do not deny that it does not hurt that time I had not So, I’ll try not to be wrong. So let’s say it like that. But what is going well, you … finally, after trying to rework because really it is a Kata … it is so easy to learn and that will allow you, you, you are working alone. You do not need to have a huge memory. You’ll get to do it and really work the bottom of your Karate. Me, I use it often. When I want to train, I’ll warm up with this Kata. I warm up three, four, five times. Okay. Come on, share. Ten-No-Kata! Yasme. At first I had not done very quickly because I tell you, I thought. It’s been a while since I had not done so, I thought. Anyway, I wanted to tell you about, as it does not hurt to time I did not put video. And this Kata then, what is good is that it allows you to train really alone. You have a little time, you do what Kata there. You go … we do not kick in this Kata then, but we really essential: the techniques of attack and blockade against. Well, listen, I hope this little video on an old Kata that we practice almost enjoyed it. I hope it will … maybe Kata, if you do and everything, maybe he will find a new youth, it would be good. Listen, thank you and see you next time on karate-blog.net, clear and net karate. Thank you, good-bye.
