the current crises between the East and the West we need to learn to understand
more about the history of these countries? Totally, I do believe that history should start to matter. I do believe for very good reasons. So there’s an aspect to which the multiculturalism of Europe is a consequence of its history,
not just the history of the 20th century, but a much longer history. It’s time to stop analyzing. It’s time for you, I think, for Europeans to start a new policy about Russia. On the contrary: It is precisely because of the historical experience that is behind us, that we must follow a European vision in which Germany assumes its position.
