I’ve been with Reach for 5 years and I’ve
been advising for most of the 5 years, my highlights are probably, there is quite a
lot but if I had to highlight something – I did help a family out. I spent quite a few
months helping them out and I managed to get them all their benefits backdated, nearly
£10,000. The most recent one is obviously I got my first bankruptcy done and that was
a success just as I was finishing on my last day so that to me was the icing to the cake.
obviously helping people to be debt free, all the debt relief orders I’ve done. I do enjoy working with debt, I also was really
happy when we were able to go visit families at home, you get so much work done there, you
can engage with them and they’re more, families are more at ease, clients are more at ease
when they’re at home so I was really happy being able to do home visits and doing my
debt work. What do I miss? i’ll miss all the friends
that I’ve made, all the clients I’ve bonded with, yeah I do miss working, I think I’d
miss the team a lot, it was a good team, I’d miss Reach. I’d like to take a break first, it’s been
very tiring, very exhausting over the 5 years working, I enjoyed it but I’m looking forward
to going back to the community, using all the skills I’ve learnt in how to speak to
people, how to approach people, how to befriend and the debt skills I’ve learnt. Yeah I’d
like to be back in the community. Reach has definitely given me a lot, not just in giving
me a platform to work and do what I need to do but also being there and supporting me
in my journey with my faith as well.
