(gentle upbeat music) – Hi loves, how’s it going? It’s Ann. Welcome back to my channel. And if you’re new, welcome, welcome. Today, I am working on my
February bullet journal spread and I have been looking forward to this. I’m a little bit behind
just because I’ve been a little distracted, and you
know, just trying to get back into the flow of things since I just moved to this whole new place, and you know, just trying to adjust,
trying to get back on track. But, whenever life gets
a little bit chaotic or overwhelming, I always
look forward to working on my bullet journal just
because it’s a time for me to just decompress, for
me to go within again, refocus all my thoughts
and just, you know, see the bigger picture. I always look forward to
working on my bullet journals and I hope that you look
forward to this one. And, I hope you enjoy today’s theme. It is an enchanted forest theme. So, let’s go ahead and get started. (gentle music) All right, so let’s get started
with this enchanted forest. I like to start off with a base color. And, since the forest is going to have like this nice dewiness to
it, I started off with blue and then I also wanted
to add in a little warmth from the sun, so, as you can
see I added in some yellow. My inspiration actually came
from a photo of an album and while looking at it, I felt this peace inside of me. And, at the same time
the forest just looked so lush and beautiful. And, so I wanted to convey
that feeling into my painting. As I was creating, I really had no idea what direction I was going for, but every hour or so I would step away, let the paint dry, and then come back and then I would add in a
little bit more details. And, I would just let the
painting just take me away. And so, I would just create
a little here, a little there and just get re-inspired
again every time I step away. I get a lot of comments that, you know, you want to try this and you feel like you can’t do it, but when
it comes to journaling, it’s personal, and it
should just be for you and how you feel doing it. It shouldn’t be about the
end results, you know. It’s worth giving a try and if it doesn’t look good, that’s okay. No one else is going to judge you. At least you gave it a try. Or maybe you’ll surprise yourself. Most of the time, I surprise myself. I’ve never painted with watercolor before until last year, until
I started journaling, until I started this. And, I’ve just been
surprised by my painting and I just kept going and going. Sometimes it doesn’t turn out
as well as I hope for it to, but other times I surprise myself. If you’re watching this
far into the video, leave a tree emoji so that
way I know that you’re with me at this moment and watching. You know, if you’re feeling that desire to pick up a paint
brush, try something new, something creative, or
you just feel inspired, I highly recommend for you
to at least give this a try. You know, sometimes the
first time may not turn out exactly how you want it to, but it all comes down to
just being in the moment, being present, and allowing
yourself to try something new. If you’re new to my
channel, you would notice that I spend a lot of
time on my front spread and that is because during this time when I am creating, it
allows my mind to open up and relax so that way I can
plan ahead for my month. Instead of feeling overwhelmed
with a whole bunch of ideas, I can contemplate them while I am creating and feeling inspired. So, for in the next couple of pages, I decided to start with a calendar layout. This way I will jot down
all of my highlights for the month. And, then on the bottom
I have my monthly goals. On the right side, I have my mind spill. My mind spill’s my favorite
page because this is where I can just revisit and put
down everything that’s been, you know, going on in my
mind and just spill it all out on here. That way I don’t feel like I
have to hold onto information and, you know, just get overwhelmed. The mind spill page is a
page that I highly encourage for you all to give a try. I like to plan by the weeks
so I’m breaking them up into five rectangles altogether. If you feel like you need more space or if you want to plan by
the day, then just change up the label and personalize
it to your lifestyle. On the bottom right, I
created a gratitude box. And, I have been practicing
gratitude a lot lately. Before that, I thought
it was a bit cheesy, but after doing it, it just has an amazing positive impact on my
overall view and life. And I highly recommend
for you to give it a try just by writing down the things you are grateful for every day. (gentle ethereal music)

  1. Amazing! Can you please do a time stamp while you are doing this? So we can get a general idea of how much time we might need to put aside in the weekend to get the spreads done πŸ™‚ …
