The Plagues (Prince of Egypt) – Cover by Caleb Hyles and Jonathan Young

(Thus saith the lord) Since you refuse to free my people (Thus saith the lord) (Thus saith the Lord) All through the land of Egypt I send a pestilence and plague Into your house, into your bed into your streams, into your streets Into your drink, into your bread Upon your cattle, on your sheep Upon your oxen in your field Into your dreams, into your sleep Until you break, until you yield! I send the swarm, I send the horde Thus saith the Lord! Once I called you brother Once I thought the chance to make you laugh Was All i ever Wanted….. I send the thunder from the sky I send the fire raining down And even now I wish that God
had chose another Serving as your foe on his behalf
Is the last thing that I wanted! I send a hail of burning ice
On every field, on every town This was my home
All this pain and devastation How it tortures me inside All the innocent who suffer
From your stubbornness and pride! I send the locusts on a wind
Such as the world has never seen On every leaf, on every stalk
Until there’s nothing left of green I send my scourge, I send my sword
Thus saith the Lord! You who I called brother
Why must you call down another blow? I send my scourge, I send my sword Let my people go! (Thus saith the lord) Thus saith the lord! You who I called brother
How could you have come to hate me so? Is this what you wanted? (I send the swarm, I send the horde!) Then let my heart be hardened
And never mind how high the cost may grow This will still be so:
I will never let your people go! (Thus saith the lord) Thus saith the lord! I will not let (Moses & Ramses:)Let Your/My People Go!

  1. This is EPIC. I don't know how I hadn't listened to it before!! You two make a great duet! And I love this cover as I love the original song!

  2. lord sauron this will be your gift an song of hate and evil now vampires dragons orcs and all evil sign to him our savior sauron for i Anubis will

  3. "The Plagues" one of my all time favorite song ever. This song is a true perfection and this cover is beyond perfection. Out of the 7 000 000+ views here, at least 200 must be mine =')

  4. Minute 1
    Moses: this was my home
    Me: I felt that, man
He actually hates seem Egypt in that condition, after all he was their prince once.

  5. God is good. He gave Pharaoh (pretty sure it was one of the many Ramses) so many chances, yet he refused to listen, and even when he let the Hebrews go, he sent an army to kill them. Ramses was not good.

And about the children who died: I believe they are safe. In my religion, children who die before the age of accountability (8 years) are saved automatically, and anyone who dies after that without knowledge of the truth has more chances for salvation. God loves everyone, even if they don't love Him. Why wouldn't He let everyone have a chance to know Him?

And don't start a hate war in my comments, a assuming anyone sees this.

  6. little curiosity, during the Italian dubbing of the film, the Rome's studios called the holy choir of the church of San Paolo in the Vatican for the parts sung by the choir. HOLY EPIC

  7. This was amazing. I love this song and grew up with it. Sure, it's based on a silly fairy tale in a so called "holy book", but it's cool that we are still doing songs inspired by these stories. And this was a great version, loved it.

  8. Pharo: i will not let your people go
God: this action will kill all your people, are you sure you want to proceed?

  9. The emotion from both sides really shows the work put into this… the religious impact and significance of this hits home.

yes im almost 3 years late sorry not sorry

  10. I love it! I've listened to this countless times! However… it all changed the instant I saw the stretchy band on Caleb's head and thought the wrap looks now like a bed's sheet. And I can't get it out of my head. Lolz!

  11. As a Christian, I personally found the animation to this part of the story far scarier than any fake horror movie out there. Still, the song brings good nostalgia from my childhood! I love the cover; your voices compliment each other’s incredibly well ^^

  12. It's one of those covers that has everything, including acting – good acting at that. This has an opera feel I quite enjoy and I only find it in your work. This video is your best duo performance.

  13. Moses's brother would go on to rebuild Egypt's armies and break the power of the Hittites in the Mediterranean for a generation.

  14. I think you are adorable as Moses. Your eyes look like they have pain in them and you emote amazingly! You and Jonathan need to colab more.
