Timberly: You want to do it? Andre: Andre and Timberly Gray
with Living Our Priorities. We started our blog in 2014. Timberly: The reason we
started blogging is because early on in our marriage
we weren’t getting along. And we sought a couple
that could counsel us and mentor us to do better. And they had pretty much
showed us how we made work our priority before God and each other. And so they taught us
the priorities of God. So we blog about our
experiences of how we started to live within the priorities of God and how that affected our life,
our marriage and our family. Well, we found out real quick
how much we didn’t know. We had blogged for about two years. We had often said gosh we
wish we knew about EBA®. Andre: Much sooner. Timberly: Like as soon as
we had started our blog. Because it would have
saved us time and money had we of done it right
the very first time. Andre: It made her look at
our blog a little different. The perspective we had before
has changed through EBA®. And we’ve grown so much
through the EBA® courses. It’s amazing how much you regret, you don’t regret the way you started, but you wish you had of known
a lot sooner than later. Timberly: It was never about
money, when this other blogger talked about what has happened
in her blog through EBA®, that is what peaked out interest. Was that yes, God put this
on our heart to do this, but if we don’t do it
right we’re not gonna reach the people he wants us to reach. So it was about learning those things. People liked our content but it was how do we get people to our content. And that is what we learned through EBA®. Andre: EBA®, absolutely. Timberly: When we first started
we were not getting traffic and our traffic has
grown over 80% with EBA®. Same with our email list,
we have grown over 60% by applying all the principles from EBA®. And one of the biggest
things that I’ve noticed is where our traffic comes from. Most of our traffic at the beginning only came from social media. Our organic search engine
traffic was like less than 1%. Andre: It’s grown tremendously. Timberly: It’s grown from 30
to 40% of our traffic now. That’s because of all the
things we learned through EBA®. That we saw that number
was more significant to us cause it showed us that our
writing and the way we get our traffic out there
to be seen organically is all the result of what
we’ve learned from EBA®. Andre: Absolutely. The goal is to concentrate on our ministry at church and at home. So eventually, we will no
longer be bivocational pastors. Bivocational workers. Timberly: We like to say that
we are bivocational pastors which means we work and we
serve as pastors in our church. We see our blog as an
extension of our ministry. And by improving the traffic
and the income from our blog it allows us to ministry full
time so we can just focus on ministry and blogging,
so that’s the goal. And where we are at with EBA® right now, we can actually see that
closer than we could before. Before it was probably a dream, now it’s like within arms reach. That we know that that’s possible because we’ve seen the fruit from EBA®. Andre: And we’ve been able
to forge relationships around the country and the globe. We’ve developed relationships in Canada and Georgia and New York and Florida. People that we couldn’t
normally reach, we reach now. Timberly: For us we see the
internet as our mission field. Without us even having to
leave the comfort of our home. It allows us to reach people in countries that we don’t have the capability to do. When we say it’s an
extension of our ministry, at church you can only help
those within the four walls. This helps us help people
outside those walls and in other countries
and that was probably the biggest realization
we had was when we saw that we had readers from
Africa and United Kingdom. It was like, wow, this is an
opportunity to reach people that we couldn’t on our own. The investment is worth it (laughs). Andre: Do it now. Timberly: And it’s better to
do it right the first time than spend more money and
time and frustration later. We probably could of
got through EBA® faster if we hadn’t spent so
much time tryna go back. So the time is now. Andre: And do the makeup work, right? Timberly: Yes, the time is now.
