Well we’re here for Unified Resilience
2019. It’s FEMA Region Five public private partnership summit where we’re
bringing together partners from private industry government agencies
nongovernmental organizations and the nonprofit sector together to really
focus on better response and better recovery after an event. Public-private
partnerships are extremely important there’s not a day that goes by where I
can’t do my job without a partnership and that’s with other government
partners at the state, local, county level municipal governments and the private
sector as well. So I think the future of this event is wide open. I mean this is
the first time FEMA region 5 has come together to have this kind of
partnership and many of our regions across the country have done the same
and I look to make this an annual event where we can continue to grow together,
learn together, continue to share resources and be a more resilient nation.
Not just a more resilient government or a more resilient private sector to be a
more resilient nation for the American people.
